About the colony
Starting point
This client reached out to the vet office and reported more and more pregnant cats were showing up at her home. They were finding kittens in places kittens shouldn't be such as drainage ditches. The client has provided an environment where the colony can remain safe and as a colony but required assistance with spay/neuter services to get the colony under control. That is when we stepped up and offered the client and the colony help.
We met with the client and established a feeding schedule emphasizing the importance of the client not feeding on the days when Show Me Hope TNR would be by. This established a routine for the colony and how we begin to gain trust with the cats.
Support from the community
The client and the neighborhood have all stepped up to help with feeding and providing a safe environment for this colony. When the colony has undergone spay/neuter services they will be returned to their environment to live in peace with their humans.
End result
Our goal is to have this colony spay/neutered by November 6, 2025. We need your help to accomplish our goal. Please consider donating to this colony or to Show Me Hope TNR and help keep Callaway County safe for colony cats.
Colony #07 came to us as a referral from Callaway County Veterinary Clinic. The colony consists of 9 adult cats and kittens. Our Goal is to have all the adult cats spay/neutered by November 6 2025.
